Denise Tormey

Denise is a Shareholder in Vedder Price P.C., a law firm of over 300 attorneys with offices in New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London and Singapore. She is a member of the Finance & Transactions group in the firm's New York office and has more than 25 years of experience in financing and strategic transactions, including fund finance, private equity and venture capital investments and portfolio company representation.
In the course of her practice, Denise regularly represents private equity funds, founders and portfolio companies in buy-side and sell-side transactions and advises on matters of corporate governance, financing alternatives, mergers and acquisitions, licensing, joint venture and distribution agreements and strategic planning. She also advises lenders on a range of financing products, including capital call facilities, general partner support facilities and portfolio acquisition facilities, across a variety of fund sectors, and represents both lenders and borrowers in asset-based financing transactions.
Denise has been a member of the Board of Keen New York since its inception in 2008. She also serves as a board member of Will’s Foundation for Good Works, Inc., a New Jersey not-for-profit with a mission to support organizations and programs dedicated to serving children with developmental and physical disabilities. Denise was a member of the Board of Education of the Bronxville Public Schools in Westchester County, New York from July 2010 through June 2016, serving as President of the Board in 2015 and 2016.
Corina joined the KEEN NY family in 2013 as a BK basketball volunteer. The Coaches Committee quickly adopted her as one of their own and thus began her passionate love affair with the community. In 2017, Corina led the inaugural yoga program and also joined the KEEN NY Associate Board. Through the Associate Board, she planned several fundraisers, including the widely popular KEEN on Comedy show. As an active member of the Coaches Committee, she regularly leads the BK yoga program and also helps facilitate other programs.
Outside of KEEN, she spends her free time working in the exhilarating world of structured finance. She is often seen in the company of a finicky Shih-Tzu and a very muscular boyfriend who didn't help write this.
