Associate Board

KEEN New York’s Associate Board is a dynamic group of young professionals dedicated to volunteering their time, talents, and energy to create a broader awareness of our organization, plan and produce fund raising events, scout locations for activities, and help raise funds for KEEN New York.  Associate Board members have the unique opportunity to serve as advocates for KEEN’s mission to empower youth with disabilities by providing free, non-competitive one-to-one programs of exercise, fitness and fun, led by volunteer coaches.

KNYAB Executive Officers

Laura Wright, President
Strategy Manager

Laura currently serves as the Manager of Growth Strategy at Upstream USA, a nonprofit focused on increasing women's access to quality healthcare. Prior to working at Upstream, Laura worked as a Strategy Consultant at Deloitte, LLP. She is originally from Texas, where she worked for four years as a camp counselor and manager at a sleepaway camp for children and adults with disabilities. Laura became involved with KEEN NY when she first moved to New York City.

Matt Considine, VP of Finance
Associate, Avenue Capital Group

Matt graduated from Providence College in May 2015 with a B.A. in Economics. He is currently an Associate at Avenue Capital Group, a global investment firm that focuses on investing in distressed debt and other special situations across the globe. Originally from Stamford CT, Matt lives in Manhattan where he is an active member of the Providence College NYC Alumni Group. Matt is extremely excited to be part of the KEEN NY Associate board and has extremely high expectations for the group.


Elaine Lawson, VP of Events & Fundraising
Senior Director for Development Communications - Mount Sinai

Elaine Lawson is currently the Senior Director for Development Communications at Mount Sinai Health System in NYC overseeing the overall marketing communications strategy to elevate donor engagement across digital and non-traditional channels.  Prior to this role, she served in Vice President and Director positions at Mastercard Worldwide leading digital marketing programs (e.g. Masterpass, Priceless Cities, Grammy's, Major League Baseball, Small Business, etc.) across multiple audiences (e.g. Consumer, Issuer, Merchant) to support company revenue goals.  Elaine is a member of She Runs It (formerly the Ad Women of New York) where she mentors young professionals. She is also a regular volunteer/former Team Leader for children’s recreational projects at New York Cares. She joined the Associate Board of KEEN NY as the VP of Events & Fundraising.


Sam White, VP of Communications
Activist & Media Personality

Known by his social media moniker Sam Whiteout (@samwhiteout), Sam leverages his platforms to pursue issues about which he has always been passionate. Part of that endeavor is developing conversations around social justice (particularly allyship) in the digital sphere. Sam also travels the country speaking & working with high school students and undergraduates about his experiences and navigating issues of difference. After being introduced to KEEN NY through his work in the fashion space, Sam knew he needed to get involved. He has been studying Taekwondo for almost 20 years and having taught for many years, including working with special needs students, he is intimately familiar with the importance of KEEN's mission.
Sam is excited to bring his experience & passion to the KEEN family.

Shana Jordan, VP of Membership Affairs
Brand Strategy at Time, Inc.

Shana is a Brand Strategy Manager at Meredith (fka Time Inc.), where she oversees consumer brand strategy for lifetime titles, including Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure, Southern Living, Cooking Light . Prior to joining Meredith, Shana worked for ShopStyle by POPSUGAR in various business development and operations roles. Shana graduated with a BS in International Business and Marketing from Georgetown University, where she also pursued a fellowship in entrepreneurship. Shana is excited to be part of the inaugural KEEN New York Associate Board and looks forward to growing the board in her role as VP of Membership and helping the board hit their goals to expand KEEN's programming and help reach more athletes. 

Tori Albert, Secretary
Financial Services at Morgan Stanley 

Victoria (Tori) Albert is an Associate for Company Management at Morgan Stanley, where she supports senior management efforts to drive business globally across the Firm. Tori began her career in Global  Capital Markets, specializing in primary bond issuance for institutional clients. Outside of the office, Tori is actively engaged in her community. In addition to being part of the KEEN NY Associate Board, she is on KEEN NY's Coaches Committee and is involved with health related philanthropic efforts. Originally from Trenton, New Jersey, Tori is a graduate of Barnard College, where she majored in Economics.
